Naugatuck Police Catch 2 Men's Illegally Selling Marijuana From a Van!

In Naugatuck, two men have been detained for allegedly operating a mobile marijuana dispensary. On Thursday, February 2, residents of the area around the Walmart on New Haven Road complained to the police about a van that had been parked there and was using aggressive solicitation techniques.

Police said the driver was openly advertising and selling marijuana from a van decorated with “mobile dispensary” signage and decals depicting marijuana leaves. James Marson Brown, 25, from Jamaica, New York, and Stanley Livingston, 30, from Bridgeport, Connecticut, were arrested after police said they were found selling marijuana and CBD-related items without the proper licenses.

Stanley Livingston, 30, of Bridgeport, and James Marson Brown, 25, of Jamaica, New York, were arrested on Friday, February 3, and charged with illegal sales without a sales tax permit, sales of a controlled substance, fourth-degree money laundering, fourth-degree conspiracy to commit money laundering, and violating a town ordinance.

The van was also confiscated by the police. The use of marijuana by adults is legal in Connecticut, but dispensaries must first obtain licenses from the state. On March 2, Brown and Livingston, who each posted a $5,000 bond, are scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.
