Russ Martin, a popular radio host in the Dallas region, was discovered dead at his home on Saturday, and the circumstances surrounding his death have raised suspicions (Feb. 27). Sadly, he passed away at the age of 60. The house in the 6300 block of Douglas Avenue was the location of an early morning call for the police.
Early Saturday morning, a friend of Russ’s went to his Frisco home to check on him and found him lifeless inside. This prompted police to go to the scene. He died at his house and was pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived.
The Russ Martin Show on 97.1 The Eagle was hosted by the lovable Russ, who was a radio personality. There was an official announcement on the radio station’s website. In response to the tragic loss, the writer said, “he will be deeply missed and we express our sincere condolences to his family and friends during this terrible time.”
Who is Russ Martin?
Radio personality Russ Martin lived in Dallas, Texas. On October 4, 1960, he entered the world in Dallas, Texas. Radio was Russ’s life for 31 years in the Dallas area. Up until the 8th of December, 2008, he also hosted the highly rated The Russ Martin Show on KLLI Live 105.3 in Dallas.
After graduating from W.W. Samuell High School, he went on to college. He got his start in the industry in the 1980s at KGVL 1400 AM in Greenville, Texas, where he oversaw the night shift at the station and oversaw religious programming. He has reportedly joined KEGL, the Eagle, a top 40 station in Dallas, according to a recent post by Russ Martin.
He also hosted a radio show on KEGL every Sunday evening. He was a wonderful person who passed away on February 27, 2021; his work was just one aspect of his life. There was a $5 million to $10 million gap in Russ Martin’s fortune when he passed away.

Dan O’Malley, Martin’s co-host on KEGL, said in a memorial that one of the last things Martin did was sign a $40,000 check from the foundation to the family of Dallas police officer Mitchell Penton, who was killed this month by a vehicle suspected of being drunk.
